Thread Cutting dies are
for general external thread
cutting, for use in hand
die stocks and screw machine
die holders Adjustment
of these round split dies
is made by means of three
screw in the holder, two
for compressing and one
for expanding. The adjustment
that can be made is slight,
the difference between
a tight and loose fit.
Excessive expansion will
result in poor performance.

We
also produce AMERICAN style split
adjestable dies. A screw is
provided on side to adjest thread
size accurately.
This desing is more prefered as
it is possible to get quick and
correct die adjestment. |

| Adjustable
round split dies, fractional and machine
screw sizes, have a front face chamfer
of 2 to 3 threads, rear face chamfer of
1 to 11/2 threads.
